Ingredients
- 200 g Red Kidney Beans (Dried, rinsed and soaked for 2 hours)
- 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (Extra‑virgin recommended)
- 70 ml Water (Room temperature)
- 2 Tbsp Mixed Seeds (Can be pumpkin, sunflower, sesame or any blend)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder (Aluminum‑free preferred)
- 1 tsp Salt (Or to taste)
- 1 tsp Black Pepper (Freshly ground)
Instructions
Soak the Beans
Place the 200 g dried red beans in a large bowl, cover with plenty of water and let them soak for 2 hours.
Time: PT2H
Roast Beans with Garlic
Drain and pat the beans dry, toss with minced garlic and 1 Tbsp olive oil, spread in a single layer on a parchment‑lined baking sheet and roast at 180°C for 15 minutes, stirring halfway, until crisp.

Temperature: 180°C
Blend into Bean Flour
Transfer the roasted beans to a blender, add 2 Tbsp mixed seeds and 1 tsp baking powder, pulse until the mixture resembles fine flour.

Make the Batter
In a clean mixing bowl combine the bean flour, 70 ml water, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper and the remaining 1 Tbsp olive oil; stir until a smooth, spreadable batter forms.

Bake the Crackers
Spread the batter thinly (about 2‑3 mm) on the parchment‑lined sheet, smooth with a spatula, and bake at 180°C for 25 minutes, rotating the sheet halfway, until golden and crisp.

Cool and Store
Remove the sheet from the oven, let the crackers cool completely on a wire rack, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
