Troubleshooting
Bread becomes soggy after assembling
Spread chutney and ketchup thinly; add a thin layer of butter on the inner side of the bread to create a moisture barrier.
Paneer sticks to the pan
Ensure the skillet is hot and lightly oiled before adding the sandwich; use a non‑stick pan.
Sandwich burns before the interior heats
Lower the heat to medium‑low and cover the pan for the last minute to trap heat.
Storage
Refrigerator: Store assembled but un‑grilled sandwiches wrapped in parchment and then foil for up to 24 hours.
Freezer: Not recommended; bread becomes soggy after thawing.
Room temperature: Consume within 2 hours of grilling.
