- 2 medium Potatoes (peeled and cut into 1‑inch cubes)
- 1 large Onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 medium Tomato (chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Ginger (freshly grated)
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro (chopped for garnish)
Instructions
Rinse and Soak Rice
Place the basmati rice in a bowl, rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear. Soak for 10 minutes, then drain.
