- 1 whole Whole Chicken (cleaned and washed, about 1.5 kg)
- 1 head Pechay (Baguio) (cut in half, leaves separated)
- 1 piece Apple (peeled and sliced)
- 1 piece White Onion (sliced)
- 2 inches Ginger (peeled and sliced)
- 2 stalks Scallion Leaves (chopped)
- 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Fish Sauce (Patis) (optional, adds umami)
- 1 packet Magic Sarap Packet (Filipino flavor enhancer)
Instructions
Wash the Chicken
Rinse the whole chicken under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels.

Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the pechay (Baguio) into halves, slice the apple, white onion, ginger, and chop the scallion leaves.
