Ingredients
- 1 cup Poha (flattened rice) (rinsed twice, well drained)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Granulated Sugar (1 tsp in soaking step, 2 tsp after mashing)
- 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder (adds color and mild flavor)
- 0.25 cup Water (just enough to moisten poha)
- 1 cup Hung Yogurt (Greek‑style curd) (thick, drained yogurt)
- 0.5 Apple (cored and diced)
- 1 Banana (sliced)
- 0.25 cup Broccoli Florets (small bite‑size pieces)
- 1 tbsp Raisins (optional sweet crunch)
- 2 tbsp Granola (optional topping for extra crunch)
Instructions
Rinse Poha
Place the poha in a fine mesh sieve and rinse under running water twice, shaking gently to remove excess water each time.

Soak and Season
After the second rinse, let the poha sit in the sieve to drain, then transfer to a mixing bowl. Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 0.25 tsp turmeric and 0.25 cup water. Mix gently and let rest for 15 minutes so the poha absorbs the flavors.
