- 1 piece Bell Pepper (Large, any color, diced)
- 1 piece Carrot (Medium, diced)
- 2 stalk Celery Stalks (Diced)
- 2 clove Garlic (Minced)
- 24 oz Spaghetti Sauce (Marinara style, jarred)
- 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar (Balances acidity)
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (Cut into pieces)
- 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream (Cold)
- 2 cups Parmesan Cheese (Freshly grated)
- 1 pound Spaghetti (Dry, broken in half for easy stirring)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (Chopped, for garnish)
- 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese (Extra, grated for topping)
Instructions
Prep Vegetables
Dice the onion, bell pepper, carrot, and celery into uniform 1/4‑inch pieces. Mince the garlic.

Sauté Onion (and Optional Sausage)
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in the skillet over medium‑high heat. Add the diced onion and optional sausage pieces; sauté until the onion is translucent and the sausage is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

Brown Ground Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until no pink remains, about 8 minutes.
