- 4 pieces Beef Hot Dogs (standard size, skin on)
- 4 pieces Hot Dog Buns (soft sandwich buns)
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80% lean)
- 1 medium Onion (diced)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce (canned, no added salt)
- 0.5 cup Kidney Beans (canned, drained and rinsed)
- 2 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)

Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and shred the cheddar cheese. Set aside in separate bowls.

Heat the large skillet over medium‑high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook until fully browned, about 7 minutes.
