Ingredients
- 2 lb Chicken Pieces (mix of breast, thigh, wing; bone‑in, skin‑on optional)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil (extra virgin)
- 1 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour (for light coating)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 0.25 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Lemon Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt (flavor enhancer)
- 1 tsp Lemon Zest (from one lemon)
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 small Onion (diced)
- 1 medium Bell Pepper (any color, diced)
- 2 pieces Garlic Cloves (minced)
- 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (cut into small pieces)
- 0.5 cup Chicken Stock (low‑sodium)
- 6 pieces Lemon Slices (for bottom layer)
Instructions
Coat Chicken with Marinade
Place all chicken pieces in the large mixing bowl. Drizzle olive oil, then sprinkle flour, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, cayenne, Italian seasoning, lemon pepper, and salt. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, brown sugar, diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Toss everything together until evenly coated.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for deeper flavor).
