Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresh Orange Juice (Juiced from about 2 medium oranges, strained)
- 0.5 cup Fresh Grapefruit Juice (Juiced from 1 large pink grapefruit, strained)
- 2 tablespoons Dried Hibiscus Flowers (Steeped in hot water to make a tart tea)
- 2 tablespoons Beef Gelatin Powder (Unflavored, high in collagen; bloom in liquid)
- 2 tablespoons Collagen Peptide Powder (Hydrolyzed, flavorless; adds extra protein)
Instructions
Juice the Citrus
Wash the oranges and grapefruit, cut them in half and juice them using a juicer or manual reamer. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp.

Steep Hibiscus Tea
Bring 1 cup of water to just below boiling (about 95°C). Remove from heat, add 2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers, cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain the liquid.

Combine Liquids
In a mixing bowl, combine the strained hibiscus tea, orange juice, and grapefruit juice. Stir gently to blend.

Bloom the Gelatin
Sprinkle the 2 tbsp beef gelatin over the liquid mixture. Let it sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to bloom.

Add Collagen and Dissolve
Add the collagen peptide powder to the bloomed mixture. Whisk gently, then place the saucepan over very low heat (around 50°C) and stir until the gelatin and collagen are completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth—about 5 minutes.
