Chef Tips from the Video
- Lightly toast the cardamom seeds before grinding to intensify the aroma.
- Using very soft butter prevents overheating the dough during kneading.
Troubleshooting
The dough does not rise
Check that the yeast is still active and the milk wasn't too hot. Increase the ambient temperature or let it rise longer.
The dough remains sticky after kneading
Add 10‑20 g extra flour and knead until it releases from the sides.
The buns are too dense
Do not overwork the dough, respect the rise times and avoid flattening them too much during shaping.
