- Cutting board
- Juice glasses (or carafes)
- Spoon or spatula (optional)
- Manual citrus press (optional) (optional)
Critical Steps — Do Not Skip
- Thorough washing of all ingredients to remove pesticides and residues.
- Do not remove the skins of fruits and vegetables (except lemon) to retain fiber and nutrients.
- Follow the extractor feeding order to avoid blockages.
- Serve or refrigerate immediately to limit vitamin oxidation.
Chef Tips from the Video
- Use organic fruits and vegetables to maximize nutritional benefits.
- Keep the skins (orange, carrot, apple) as they contain powerful flavonoids.
- For an even more refreshing taste, keep the ingredients chilled before feeding them to the extractor.
Troubleshooting
The juice is too bitter or too fibrous.
Add a bit more apple or strawberries to sweeten, or dilute with cold water. Lightly filter with a cheesecloth if the texture remains too thick.
The extractor jams.
Stop the machine, remove overly large pieces, cut them into smaller dice and restart. Clean the sieve between passes.
The juice quickly loses its green color.
Serve immediately or add a splash of lemon juice to slow oxidation.
Storage
Refrigerator: Juice to be consumed within 24 h, keep in tightly sealed glass bottles.
Freezer: Not recommended, texture degrades after thawing.
Room temperature: Do not leave at room temperature for more than 2 h.
Make-Ahead Tips
- Cut all ingredients the day before and store them in airtight bags in the refrigerator.
- Pre‑prepare juice portions in glass bottles and add ice cubes just before serving.
