Ingredients
- 1 can Canned Tuna (drained, preferably in water)
- 1 tbsp Cream Cheese (softened for easy mixing)
- 1 tbsp Mustard (Dijon or yellow mustard)
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise (regular mayonnaise)
- 2 Pickles (finely diced)
- 0.5 Shallot (small, finely minced)
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
- 0.5 Lemon (freshly squeezed juice)
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 2 tbsp Butter (softened for spreading, plus for pan-frying)
- 4 slices Bread (sturdy white or whole‑wheat bread)
- 2 slices Cheese (cheddar, American, or any meltable cheese)
Instructions
Drain Tuna
Open the can of tuna, drain the liquid using a colander or by pressing the lid, and transfer the tuna to a mixing bowl.

Prepare Tuna Salad
Add 1 tbsp cream cheese, 1 tbsp mustard, 1 tbsp mayonnaise, the diced pickles, minced shallot, chopped parsley, and the juice of half a lemon to the tuna. Season with salt and black pepper, then mix until smooth and well combined.

Butter and Toast Bread
Spread 1 tbsp softened butter evenly over one side of each of the 4 bread slices. Heat a skillet over medium heat (about 350°F) and place the slices butter‑side down, toasting until golden, roughly 2 minutes per slice. Remove and set aside.
