- 2 pounds Ground Chuck (80% lean, fresh)
- 1 large Green Bell Pepper (seeded and finely diced)
- 1 medium Onion (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Onion Powder
- 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 1 tablespoon Black Pepper (ground)
- 1.5 teaspoons Salt
- 12 ounces Elbow Macaroni (uncooked)
- 1 can (28 oz) Tomato Sauce
- 1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce
- 0.5 cup Water (or beef broth for richer flavor)
Instructions
Prep vegetables and pasta water
Finely dice the green bell pepper and chop the onion. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the macaroni.

Brown the ground beef
Heat the large pot over medium‑high heat. Add the ground chuck and break it up with a wooden spoon, cooking until no pink remains, about 8–10 minutes. Cover with a lid halfway through to retain moisture.

Add the diced bell pepper and chopped onion to the pot. Sprinkle in onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook, stirring, for 3–4 minutes until the vegetables soften.
