- 1 unité Egg (whole egg, at room temperature)
- 50 g White sugar
- 250 ml Whole milk
- 1 sachet Vanilla sugar (packet) (Approximately 8 g)
- ½ cuillère à café Ground cinnamon (Optional, adds a spicy note)
- 30 ml Sunflower oil (for batter) (Neutral oil)
- 200 ml Sunflower oil (for frying) (To heat in a non‑stick pan)
- 1 pincée Salt
- 200 g All‑purpose flour (Sift before use)
- 1 sachet Baking powder (Approximately 10 g)
- 3-4 unités Apples (Medium, peeled and cut into ribbons about 0.5 cm thick)
Instructions
Prepare the batter
Break the egg into a bowl, add 50 g sugar, 250 ml milk, the vanilla sugar packet, the pinch of salt, 30 ml sunflower oil and the cinnamon (if using). Whisk until you have a smooth mixture.

Incorporate the dry ingredients
Sift 200 g flour and the baking powder packet over the mixture. Gently fold with the whisk until you obtain a smooth, lump‑free batter.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rest 10 minutes at room temperature.

Prepare the apples
Peel 3 to 4 apples, then cut them into ribbons about 0.5 cm thick. Remove the core and seeds with a small knife or a corer.
