Critical Steps — Do Not Skip
- Achieve a slightly sticky dough during kneading
- Allow the dough to double in size during the first rise
- Observe the second rise time before baking
- Brush the glaze properly and press the seeds so they don’t separate during baking
Chef Tips from the Video
- Use high‑gluten flour for better rise
- Dust a little powdered sugar on the cooled rolls for an extra sweet touch
- Serve the warm rolls with butter or cream cheese for extra indulgence
Troubleshooting
The dough remains too dry and does not come together
Add warm water or milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired sticky consistency is reached
The dough does not double in size
Check that the yeast is still active, that the milk was warm (not hot), and that the ambient temperature is sufficient (22‑24°C).
The seeds detach during baking
Ensure good adhesion by generously brushing the glaze and lightly pressing the seeds before baking
