Ingredients

- 40 g Turmeric Shea Butter (Pre-blended, smooth (Bramble Berry))
- 8 g Polysorbate 80 (Emulsifier, optional but recommended)
- 15 g Apricot Kernel Oil (Light carrier oil)
- 10 g Cream Maker Emulsifier Blend (Main emulsifier (contains glycerol stearate, PEG stearate))
- 5 g BTMS 50 (Co-emulsifier, adds conditioning feel)
- 5 g Cetyl Alcohol (Thickener, improves skin feel)
- 2 g Buckthorn Extract (Skin-loving extract, optional)
- 2 g Fragrance Oil (Pineapple Papaya) (Optional, for scent (Bramble Berry))
- 1 g Preservative (e.g., Optiphen, Liquid Germall Plus) (Essential for safety (see supplier for usage rate))
Instructions
Sanitize Workspace and Equipment
Thoroughly disinfect all work surfaces, utensils, containers, and equipment with a 5% bleach solution or 99% isopropyl alcohol. Wear gloves and a hair net throughout the process.

Prepare Heated Water Phase
Weigh distilled water (120g) into a heatproof beaker. Add vegetable glycerin (15g) and coco betaine (20g). Stir until combined. Set aside.

Prepare Heated Oil Phase
In a separate heatproof container, weigh turmeric shea butter (40g), polysorbate 80 (8g), apricot kernel oil (15g), cream maker emulsifier blend (10g), BTMS 50 (5g), and cetyl alcohol (5g). Set aside.
Time: PT5M
Prepare Cool Down Phase
In a small bowl, weigh out buckthorn extract (2g), fragrance oil (2g), and preservative (1g). Stir to combine. Set aside.
Time: PT3M
Heat Water and Oil Phases
Place both the water phase and oil phase containers into a double boiler. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until both reach 170°F (77°C) and all solids are melted.

Combine and Emulsify
Pour the hot water phase into the hot oil phase. Blend immediately with a stick blender on high speed for 3 minutes. Scrape down sides as needed. Continue blending until mixture thickens and bubbles subside.

Cool to 115°F (46°C)
Allow the mixture to cool, checking temperature periodically. When it reaches 115°F (46°C), proceed to the next step.

Add Cool Down Ingredients
Add the pre-mixed cool down ingredients (extract, fragrance, preservative) to the emulsified base. Blend gently until fully incorporated.

Cool Further and Whip
Let the mixture cool to about 100°F (38°C). Switch to a whisk attachment or hand mixer. Whip on high speed for 6–7 minutes until light, fluffy, and increased in volume.

Pipe into Containers
Transfer the whipped cleanser into a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip. Pipe into sanitized 4 oz PET jars. Seal containers immediately.

Label and Store
Label jars with product name and date. Store in a cool, dry place.

Cleanup
Wash all utensils, bowls, and equipment with hot soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
